Would it not be possible to adjust the speed in real time from the touch pad?

In Axon 2,1 speed adjustment no longer works when printing with no raft....

In Axon 3,x alpha there is no speed adjustment and I find 0,25mm too slow and 0,5mm far too fast.

If speed was included in the machine firmware we could slow it down for layer 1 and set the speed on the fly!!

Just some thoughts

You can make changes on the fly!

certainly you can adjust the rpm, temp and z height.

with pre touchscreen models you use the x, y buttons. With the touch screen models when printing (the display shows the progress bar etc) scroll to the right by touching the bottom right corner of the screen. Then touch (to hi light ) the temperature, rpm or z height numbers that you want to adjust on the fly, then touch the plus/minus buttons to set the new parameters.

i can't remember if it is possible to adjust the speed of travel in this way (probably not) but as x,y speed and extruder rpm are related you probably don't need to adjust both.

I use alll those all the time so just need to add speed to the mix!!!

adusting the RPM does nothing to the speed,

but if you adjusted the speed the rpm would have increase proportionately.

It used to be there in oooold firmware, it was called headspeed as far as I remember. It uses the Z buttons to speed up and down the print movement. There were not enough buttons and bfb choose to use them for adjusting the z height on the fly. I've missed and plead for this function since then.
